There are many things that brought me to picking Shingleton Farms as the place to board my horse, Major, the hours of trails, the riding facilities, the spacious pastures, and the impressive barn to name a few. However, it is the people and the amount of care that is put into Major that is keeping me here. All of the boarders and staff are so friendly and welcoming. When I first came, everyone made sure to show me around the farm and the trails, and I was never without a riding buddy! All of the staff has a relationship with every horse, so that if anything is ever even just slightly out of the norm, they are the first to notice and the owner is promptly notified. The staff also truly cares about the safety, comfort and happiness of every horse, and every effort is made to make sure that these things are at the highest level possible. For instance, so much time was put into selecting a pasture and pasture mates suitable for Major, and he could not be happier where he is. Being in college, I don't always get to spend as much time out at the barn as I would like, but I never worry about Major. I know who is handling, feeding, and checking on Major, and that everything is being taken care of perfectly. And I usually get daily updates from the staff anyway! - Danielle Howard, Boarder
